On Thursday, April 1, 2021, IFEZ signed an investment contract with TOVIS to build an industrial monitor manufacturing facility. Tobis Co., Ltd. plans to invest a total of 32 billion won and start construction of a three-story manufacturing facility on a 10,857.3㎡ site in Songdo International City Knowledge Information Industrial Complex in September 2021 and operate it by the end of 2022. Tobis Co., Ltd. is a KOSDAQ-listed company that produces transistor liquid crystal display (TFT-LCD) modules and displays for electric fields used in industrial monitors and mobile phones. It is the world's first technology innovation leader to develop innovative technologies such as developing and commercializing curved gaming monitors for the first time in the global gaming monitor market and is a mid-sized company with sales of KRW 400 billion as of 2019.

On February 25, 2021 (Thursday), IFEZ hosted the opening ceremony of Incheon Startup Park. Incheon Startup Park is the largest startup support space in Korea for a single business that fosters technology-based and bio-convergence innovation companies such as artificial intelligence. It is South Korea's No. 1 startup park selected for the Ministry of SMEs and Startups' public offering project to create an open innovation start-up base such as Silicon Valley in the U.S. and Zhongguan Village in China. It is the first model in Korea to foster startups by combining private experiences, capabilities, and public resources. The complex, "Tomorrow City," located near the Incheon National University Station in Songdo International City, has been remodeled. The interior is equipped with office space and convenience facilities, specialized corporate support facilities such as big data, artificial intelligence (AI) center, IoT (Intelligent Internet of Things) demonstration support lab, open station, and central plaza.

On February 23, 2021 (Tuesday), IFEZ held a groundbreaking ceremony for Songdo Severance Hospital under the auspices of Yonsei Medical Center at the hospital site (Songdo-dong Songdo Science Road 85), located at Yonsei University International Campus in Songdo International City. Songdo Severance Hospital will be built on 85,800 square meters (26,000 pyeong) of land in Yonsei University International Campus in Songdo International City with 14 floors above ground, three basement floors and 800 beds and is scheduled to open around December 2026. Songdo Severance Hospital will provide professional specialized medical services through the nation's highest-quality medical infrastructure of Yonsei University Medical Center. In addition, it will play a role as a research-specific hospital with functions such as Gyeongin area and West Coast base hospital and bio-convergence and research.

On February 23, 2021 (Tuesday), Yonsei University opened its maker space specialized lab i7 at Yonsei University International Campus in Songdo International City. Maker Space is a space where creators who realize their ideas using digital devices and various tools can equip, develop, and implement their ideas. Yonsei University's Maker Space, which was opened this time, is Incheon's first "specialized lab" designed to support the construction and operation of maker spaces in 2020 by the Ministry of Used Venture Business.

On 22 December 2020 (Tuesday), IFEZ held a groundbreaking ceremony for the third landing bridge. The ground-breaking ceremony, attended by Prime Minister Chung Sye-kyun, Incheon Metropolitan City Mayor Park Nam-chun, and Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority Director Lee Won-jae, was conducted in accordance with the Corona 19 virus prevention guidelines, and was broadcast live online on YouTube. The third soft landing bridge will be built with a total extension of 4.67km (3.5km of sea bridge and 1.1km of land) and a width of 29-30m, which will be completed in 2025. In addition, among the three bridges connecting Yeongjong International City, the only one with sidewalks, bicycle paths, and observatory will be built as an experience-tourism-type cultural space where you can feel romance on the sea.

On December 22, 2020 (Tuesday), IFEZ completed a project to improve lighting in the city of Cunalway. In order to create attractions and entertainment in Cheongna International City and revitalize local commercial districts, the city has completed a project to improve landscape lighting for the 1.8km round-trip section of the Cunalway Culture 1 and 2 parks. △ LED lighting fixtures are installed on the side of the boundary stone of Canalway to illuminate the waterway △ reeds with artificial reed-shaped lights installed on Canalway Island △ illumination through the installation of Art Wall, a sidewalk bridge.

On December 18, 2020, Incheon Metropolitan City signed an agreement with Yonsei University and Songdo Internationalization Complex Development Co., Ltd. to build Songdo Severance Hospital and create Yonsei Science Park. Under the second phase of the project agreement, Incheon Metropolitan City will provide 342,219㎡ of land to Songdo International Complex Development Co., Ltd. and support the construction of anchor facilities for Yonsei Science Park through the development of apartments and residential and commercial complex land.

On December 11, 2020, IFEZ held "2020 Incheon Startup Park (SPARK) Conference" and "Big Data and Artificial Intelligence Conference" to innovate the productivity of the artificial intelligence industry. The conference on startup incubation and technology of the fourth industrial revolution, held by IFEZ and Incheon Techno Park, was held to provide practical help to those who want to start a startup, such as entering the global market, capturing opportunities for success through a change of perspective, and the latest trends in core technology.

On December 3, 2020, IFEZ held the "4th IFEZ Industrial Innovation Conference" jointly with the Incheon Development Institute and Incheon National University under the theme of "IFEZ Industry-Academic Cooperation, Creating a Sustainable Innovation Community." The event was organized to discuss the strategic direction of industry-academic cooperation led by local innovation players, share success stories in other regions, and discuss the direction of industry-academic cooperation that suits the characteristics of IFEZ.
