Implementation of the Advanced “Online Reporting System”for Foreigners’ Employment Information

- Employment information can now be conveniently reported online without visiting Immigration Offices -

The Ministry of Justice will implement the advanced Online Reporting System for Foreigners’ Employment Information effective January 2, 2026 (Fri.).

Under the new system, foreign nationals residing in Korea will be able to file their employment information online at the time of making a visit reservation

prior to visiting Immigration Offices (including branch offices), thereby ensuring a more convenient and, streamlined reporting process.

This measure supplements the employment information reporting requirements that have been in effect since September 25, 2020.

1. Implementation Period

January–June 2026: Trial period

(Both online and paper submissions will be accepted)

From July 2026:

(Online submission only)

2. Who Must Report

All foreign nationals residing in Korea who are engaged in for-profit activities.

3. Reporting Deadline

Any changes must be reported within 15 days.

4. How to Report

Employment information must be submitted online in advance.
