Time to experience Korea’s traditional charm
Students who registered for the “Color Ceramic Lecture” at the IFEZ Global Center gathered in July.
The Green Ceramic Lecture is one of the popular classes for IFEZ resident foreigners.
It is one of the programs by the Global Center to expand various Korean cultural experiences and improve local conditions.
In the course, attendees learned about the history and background of green celadon, including the history and background of the making of ceramics, molding, and design.
The program is taught by master potter Kim Gap-yong, who has held the “IFEZ Foreign Ceramic Ceramics” course for years. Foreigners all greatly benefited and learned from Kim Gap-yong.
Most also took turns at the spinning wheel for the first time, which requires the whole body’s strength. The highlight was witnessing and experiencing Celadon’s mysterious color and beautiful texture.
