Weekday news three times a
day, and a special weekend
morning program
IFEZ English News Radio Broadcasting has been broadcasting since July.
We have sought steps to improve IFEZ as an English-language city.
We visited the English news radio recording site, which has received a great response,
and ‘Shin Ah—Young’s Enjoy Weekend’.
The Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority began its ‘IFEZ English News Radio Broadcasting’ through
Gyeongin Broadcasting iFM on July 8th.
The ‘English News Radio Broadcasting’ project promotes the IFEZ’s quest to become an English-language city.
English news radio broadcasts are sent through Gyeongin Broadcasting iFM and in
collaboration with Incheon Global Campus (IGC).
English news is shared for 5 to 10 minutes at 8 a.m.,
10 a.m., and 2 p.m. on weekdays. Topics include
Incheon’s significant policies, living information, and cultural news, and cater to English speakers.
Shin Ah-Young’s Enjoy Weekend is a popular program on Saturday mornings from 7:00 to 8:00 AM.
It provides valuable information for foreigners and discusses global issues. A popular singer, Greg,
was the first guest on the initial broadcast on July 13.
In addition, at 7 am on Sunday,
look at the music program made by students from Incheon Global Campus University.
Foreign and Korean students recommend pop songs from other countries, too, which helps them
understand each other’s cultures.
Won Sok Yun, Commissioner of IFEZ, said, “We are pleased on the success of weekday news and
weekend programs to reach out to our foreign listeners.”
English news can also be listened to in the LIVE broadcast on the radio Kyungin Broadcasting Smartphone
App. It can also be found on the SNS and YouTube of Incheon Economic Agency and Kyungin Broadcasting.
