Taking the Lead in Nurturing Interdisciplinary Talents through the ‘2025 HUSS Convergence Camp’
The Humanities and Social Sciences Convergence Talent Development Project (HUSS) of Incheon National University participated in the “2025 HUSS Convergence Camp,” held at Lahan Select Hotel Gyeongju, enhancing students’ convergence competencies and providing opportunities for interactions with students from other universities. The camp, co-hosted by the Ministry of Education and the National Research Foundation of Korea, brought together roughly 900 students from more than 50 universities across the country. The camp featured: ▲ major-themed interdisciplinary courses offered by the 10 HUSS consortia, ▲ special lectures delivered by HUSS experts, ▲ advanced-topic lectures in collaboration with COSS, ▲ guest lectures by notable speakers, and ▲ competitions and excursions in the surrounding region. In particular, in the “Gyeongju Promotion Idea Contest” (associated with APEC Insights), Kim Da-eun of Incheon National University’s Department of Sports Science won 3rd place (Merit Award). HUSS will continue promoting student engagement through a variety of convergence programs and consistently work to nurture convergence-oriented professionals.

Inha University has entered into a strategic MOU with Vietnam’s CT Group to cultivate next-generation professionals and collaborate on the development of cutting-edge technologies. Vietnam’s CT Group is a leading company in the semiconductor and uncrewed aerial vehicle (UAV) industries. Implementation of Talent Cultivation Programs in Partnership with Incheon’s Local Universities
Jaeneung University has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) for the 2025 talent development project in collaboration with regional universities in Incheon, jointly organized by Incheon Metropolitan City, Incheon Tourism Organization, and Korea Tourism Organization. The project aims to cultivate talent tailored to the needs of the tourism industry and to facilitate their career opportunities by utilizing the specialized capabilities of Incheon-based universities. The program is composed of ▲ a comprehensive understanding of international tourism, Incheon tourism, and luxury tourism and ▲ hands-on training in international tourism services, including on-site training at Incheon International Airport, aiming to strengthen the expertise and professional skills of individuals working within tourism enterprises and affiliated organizations. Deployment of a Quantum-HPC Hybrid Platform at the Quantum-Convergence Research Center
Yonsei University entered into a strategic MOU with France’s Pasqal and Canada’s D-Wave Quantum Inc. to jointly develop a “Quantum-HPC Hybrid Platform” and related technologies. Under the MOU, Yonsei International Campus is set to host a platform integrating HPC with its quantum computer. Since introducing an IBM quantum computer to its International Campus last year, Yonsei University has been leading the development of the domestic quantum computing ecosystem by establishing dedicated research facilities and securing specialized personnel. Based on the MOU, the university will pursue collaborative R&D and algorithm development with strategic partners while accelerating efforts toward technology commercialization and ecosystem development.

Efforts to Establish a Wycombe Abbey Campus in Yeongjong International City
Efforts are being made to establish a branch campus for the prestigious Wycombe Abbey, U.K., in Yeongjong International City. Should the project targeting a 2028 opening reach full swing, every district of Incheon Free Economic Zone—Songdo, Cheongna, and Yeongjong—will host international schools. Consequently, Incheon, poised as a “global education city” that encompasses the attraction of international businesses with the cultivation of global talents, is set to gain momentum. Since its founding in 1896, Wycombe Abbey has produced prominent graduates in diverse sectors, including law, politics, and the media, thereby cementing its legacy. The school’s new campus in Yeongjong International City is expected to enroll 2,000 students, with 60% of them being international and 40% being Korean. At the outset, local students will comprise 20% of the student body, with this proportion planned to increase to 30% over time.

Recognized as a “global prestigious school that inherits the educational philosophy of renowned British private schools,” the institution aims to provide world-class education in academics, arts, and sports in Yeongjong International City, fostering well-rounded global leaders.

Signing of an MOU for ‘Contribution to the Local Community and Youth Global Leadership Development’
Chadwick International School, a prestigious institution, and MOWA Community, a global education nonprofit, have signed an MOU to support the Songdo community and foster sustainable global youth leadership. Through this MOU, the two parties aim to jointly create practical educational partnerships and a community network in Songdo International City, drawing on MOWA’s youth global citizenship and CSR (corporate social responsibility) programs and Chadwick’s commitment to the local community. Under this MOU, the two parties will collaboratively plan and implement SDG programs in partnership with Arirang TV’s Global CSR, alongside programs promoting multicultural and diversity awareness. MOWA Community will be responsible for supervising volunteer activities and issuing recommendation letters for Chadwick students.
