Building a Cultural Ecosystem for the Future
The K-content industry is preparing for its next leap forward with IFEZ as its stage. At the center of this vision is the K-Con Land project, which connects Yeongjong, Cheongna, and Songdo International Cities into a single cultural and industrial belt. Moving beyond a space for cultural consumption, K-Con Land aims to create a next-generation cultural ecosystem where culture and industry grow together.

K-Con Land: A New Growth Engine for the Global Content Market
The K-content industry is emerging as one of Incheon’s most promising growth drivers. Beyond traditional manufacturing-based exports, content has become a strategic industry capable of creating high-value economic opportunities across borders.
As the Korean government pursues its goal of becoming one of the world’s four leading content powerhouses by 2027, the Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority (IFEZA) has launched K-Con Land, a large-scale initiative designed to strengthen Korea’s global competitiveness in the content sector.
The project seeks to move beyond conventional cultural consumption by creating a global hub where culture, tourism, and advanced industries converge. Through this initiative, IFEZ aims to expand the economic value of Korean content while enhancing Incheon’s position as an international center for culture and business.

A Triangle Strategy Connecting Yeongjong, Cheongna, and Songdo
One of K-Con Land’s key strengths is its triangular spatial strategy, which integrates the distinctive advantages of the Yeongjong, Cheongna, and Songdo International Cities.
Leveraging the accessibility of the Incheon Airport economic zone, Yeongjong is developing into a hub for visual culture and tourism, supported by arenas, large-scale indoor and outdoor performance venues, and virtual concert infrastructure powered by advanced digital technologies.
Cheongna is being positioned as an integrated planning and production belt for visual media and content creation. Building on its connectivity with existing broadcasting and media infrastructure in the Seoul metropolitan area, the district aims to establish one of Asia’s leading content production clusters while improving production efficiency.
Songdo International City serves as the project’s global networking and academic research hub. Through its international institutions, universities, and business ecosystem, Songdo provides the foundation that links the three districts into a unified cultural and industrial network.

Turning Vision into Reality Through Investment and Talent
The long-term success of K-Con Land depends on two essential pillars: large-scale global investment and the cultivation of future talent.
A major step forward was taken in January 2026, when IFEZA signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with The Kessler Collection and Korea Land & Housing Corporation (LH) to develop the Cheongna Culture, Tourism and Content Complex, known as I-CON City.
With a total project investment of KRW 2 trillion, the development will occupy approximately 260,000 square meters in Cheongna International City. The master plan includes boutique hotels, resorts, live museums, VFX studios, arenas, and other cultural facilities designed to create a cultural and creative ecosystem.
Supporting this vision is the Global K-Culture Center at George Mason University Korea in Songdo. The center serves as a platform for industry-academia collaboration and talent development, helping nurture professionals who will contribute to the future growth of the K-content industry.
By combining investment, technology, and human capital, IFEZ is laying the foundation for a sustainable K-content ecosystem and strengthening its role in the global cultural economy.

IFEZ’s cultural infrastructure is shaping a destination for the world.

I-CON City
I-CON City is a large-scale mixed-use development planned for an approximately 260,000-square-meter investment site in Cheongna International City. With a total project investment of about KRW 2 trillion, the complex will combine cultural, tourism, content, and residential functions in a single destination.
The development will feature boutique hotels, resorts, live museums, VFX studios, an arena, a K-content tower, and public parks. Widely regarded as a key project to advance Cheongna’s cultural and tourism infrastructure, I-CON City is currently being developed in collaboration among The Kessler Collection, Korea Land & Housing Corporation (LH), and other major partners, including DAOL Asset Management, SK Securities, and POSCO E&C.

Starfield Multi Stadium
Starfield Multi Stadium is a next-generation sports, culture, and entertainment destination that combines the world’s first dome stadium with a large-scale shopping complex. Designed as a new landmark for Cheongna, the venue will host international sporting events and major K-pop concerts year-round.
The project is expected to attract more than 25 million visitors annually and create approximately 30,000 jobs. With construction currently about 40 percent complete, the facility is scheduled to open between late 2027 and early 2028.

INSPIRE Entertainment Resort & Paradise City
INSPIRE Entertainment Resort and Paradise City serve as the two pillars of Yeongjong’s resort cluster, helping position the area as a leading leisure destination in Northeast Asia. INSPIRE, a North American-style entertainment resort, is contributing to regional economic growth through large-scale investment and job creation. Paradise City, Korea’s flagship integrated resort, offers a distinctive “art-tainment” experience that blends art and entertainment into a unique cultural destination. Together, the two resorts play a central role in strengthening Yeongjong International City’s position as a global tourism hub.

BMW Driving Center
Located in Yeongjong International City, BMW Driving Center is Korea’s first driving experience complex and the third BMW driving center established worldwide, after those in Germany and the United States.
Over the past decade, the facility has welcomed approximately 1.6 million visitors and become one of the area’s most popular attractions. Featuring professional driving tracks, exhibition spaces, hands-on experience zones, and sports facilities, it offers visitors a wide range of mobility and lifestyle experiences.
BMW Group Korea recently extended its operating agreement through the end of 2029, ensuring continued investment and long-term operation of the facility.

Global K-Culture Center(George Mason University Korea, Incheon Global Campus)
