IFEZ Organized the event, ‘Sharing Love with Briquettes’
On November 1, the Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority (IFEZA), led by Director Yun Won-sok, held the event ‘2024 IFEZ Sharing Love with Briquettes’ to deliver briquettes to neighbors in need in Hakik-dong, Michuhol-gu.
The volunteer activity was attended by more than 100 people, including Commissioner Yun Won-sok, as well as IFEZA staff, Good Neighbors Incheon Regional Supporters, Incheon Business Headquarters, Kyungshin, Kyungshin Cable, Kyungshin Holdings, Lotte Biologics, Merck, Samsung Biologics, iSense, STGEN BIO, HL Klemove, Camcis, TOK Advanced Materials, and other tenant companies and organizations.
Volunteers delivered a total of 3,000 briquettes to 15 families in need to help them stay warm during this winter. Commissioner Yun Won-sok said, “I am grateful to the volunteers who have helped us build a beautiful community. We will continue to hold sharing events and volunteer activities to ensure that no one is left behind.”

The IFEZ Held an Open Lecture on <Getting to Know Visa > for Foreigners
On November 7, the IFEZ (Commissioner Yun Won-sok) held a lecture for foreigners at the IFEZ Global Center. This was arranged to enhance the ease of living for foreigners working in the IFEZ and to create a foreigner-friendly environment.
The lecture aimed to provide the information related to visas, which are essential for foreigners’ daily lives. An expert lecturer from the Incheon Regional Licensed Administrative Agents Association helped the audience understand by providing detailed information on the working conditions of student visas and accompanying family visas held by foreigners, focusing on real-life examples.
The audience was also very satisfied with the lecture because it was not just another Q&A but also a place for them to network together. Kim Jong-hwan, Director of the Investment Promotion Division, said, “It was a valuable opportunity to resolve the inconveniences of foreigners in the IFEZ, and we will do our best to help them settle in the community smoothly.”
Learning about Korean history and culture!
Students in the IFEZ Korean language class visited a Korean Folk Village
On the 15th of this month, the IFEZ (Commissioner Yun Won-sok) announced that it organized a field trip to the Korean Folk Village for IFEZ Korean language class students. 50 foreigners were recruited to visit the folk village and learn about Korean history and culture while listening to a professional guide’s English commentary.
The IFEZ Korean Language Class is a settlement support program offered by the Global Center under the IFEZA, which provides Korean language education at beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels to foreign residents. This event is a part of field trips organized every semester to provide the class students with the opportunity to experience not only the language but also various Korean cultural experiences.
The students who participated in this field trip are in the third and last class of the year, which started on September 9th and runs through December 11th for a total of 14 weeks. Cynthia, a student, said, “The class helps me learn Korean and even culture, which is so helpful in my daily life in Korea.”
