IFEZ in the fall, just as the air starts to cool, is full of various events. The IFEZ 21st Anniversary Commemoration Ceremony on October 15 was held in the order of a commemorative ceremony, vision forum, Vision Declaration Ceremony, and Gyeongwonjae Ambassador Festival. In particular, marking its inaugural edition, the three-day Gyeongwonjae Ambassador Festival was filled with performances and flea markets, attracting many citizens. At Arirang Hall, a vision forum was presented on the Global Business Hub IFEZ Vision 2040 and IFEZ Strategy for Development into a Global Top 10 City. After that, the Vision Declaration Ceremony, which helped further amplify the event, featured various cultural performances including a grand drum performance and 'the IFEZ 2040 Vision Announcement' with vision performances.

Throughout these events, IFEZ promised to strengthen its global competitiveness and realize sustainable growth. To this end, it presented plans to open a new era toward IFEZ 2040 while creating new values based on a free economic zone stretching beyond the existing development model and focusing on two strategies: “Value Up” and “Innovation Growth”. In addition, IFEZ took its first step toward the 2.0 era by presenting four significant visions: ① From a leader to an innovator, ② From a gateway transit point to a destination or starting point, ③ From a manufacturing and trade base to a technology and cultural industry economic base, and ④ Towards a global top 10 city.

In the fall, Cheongna Lake Park becomes abuzz with the 2024 Cheongna Wine Festival, IFEZ’s representative event. On October 5 and 6, the festival welcomed visitors at Cheongna Lake Park’s Flower Music Island. The Cheongna Wine Festival, now in its fourth year, opened under the theme “Wine & Tango Journey to South America.” In the heat of the festival, citizens of Cheongna International City, along with many others from the metropolitan area, enjoyed a feast of culture and art. In particular, the Wine Zone allowed them to experience a unique encounter between richly passionate South American culture and wine and the chance to taste and purchase wines from all around the world. In addition, citizens enjoyed the festival even more by participating in various programs, such as wine radio, wine cocktail making, lighting creations using wine bottles, and South American-style face painting. Dynamic and captivating performances of South American tango music, Brazilian rhythms, and Latin dance took over the main stage to add some spice and overall excitement to the festivities.

Among IFEZ’s famed festivals, we can focus on one to enjoy various world foods; on September 28 and 29, the 2024 IFEZ FESTA Yeongjong World Food Festival invited citizens to the World Food Theme Street, introducing noodles from over 20 countries worldwide. The festival attracted visitors’ attention with the Noodle Platform, Nongshim’s K Ramen Pop-up Store, and the World Culture Experience Zone of Yzest, a international cooperation organization for young people. In addition, various performances enriched the fall nights of Yeongjongdo. For this, citizens were mesmerized by the beautiful National Orchestra, Nanta performances, traditional performances (from Ecuador, Ivory Coast, and Mongolia), the Jung-gu Children’s Choir, and Dream Dance Company. The Fall Music Concert (KCM, Wax, H1-Key, and Il Libro) and the Cinema OST Concert presented beautiful memories to many audiences with passionate performances and sweet tunes. While the bustling festival has now come to an end, you can still enjoy the autumn nights at Seaside Park, which faces the sea and now offers a more tranquil atmosphere.
