  • The large-scale free trade zones, industrial logistics complexes, and logistics complexes behind the Songdo New Port are being built in Yeongjong and Songdo districts, businesses are in the process of moving in some parts of these areas.
  • The Yeongjong district is being developed around the aviation logistics complex, cargo terminal, and industrial logistics complex.
    • A "Free Trade Zone" has been designated in Incheon International Airport and in the first phase, a total of 2.12㎢ of airport logistics complex (0.99㎢) and cargo terminal (1.13㎢) are being built, of which the airport logistics complex is centered on manufacturing and logistics, and the cargo terminal is occupied and operated by the world's leading airlines and multinational logistics enterprises.
  • The Songdo district, on the other hand, is designed around port logistics and will function as a logistics hub.
    • The Songdo New Port's Northeast Asian logistics hub concept will be realized through the construction of a massive logistics complex with a total area of more than 4.96 km² in the hinterland of the port (Sections 9 and 10).
  • For logistics facilities, you are subject to tax reductions such as national and local taxes if you invest more than $5 million in free economic zones and free trade zones. For more details, please refer to the Tax Reduction section of the Investment Benefits.
    • Since the development of the logistics complex is a public infrastructure project, IFEZ and Incheon City shall build the complex using a public development strategy and provide the facility site to foreign-invested companies through land sale or lease in order to draw in businesses involved in logistics, wholesale and retail, and distribution.
    • Foreign-invested companies will follow the same process as the IFEZ's investment attraction procedure when deciding to move in, and will be decided through negotiation after the submission of a business plan (investment proposal).
  • For logistics facilities, you are subject to tax reductions such as national and local taxes if you invest more than $5 million in free economic zones and free trade zones. For more details, please refer to the Tax Reduction section of the Investment Benefits.
