Cheongna will be the Silicon Valley of the gaming sector
IFEZ Cheongna will be reborn as a world-class e-sports game industry hub.
Incheon Free Economic Zone announced that they signed a memorandum of understanding(MOU) for ‘Cheongna G-tech city’ at the G Tower. The key objective of the MOU is to spend more than 1.62 trillion won to build a game-focused complex for the e-sports industry on about 263,950㎡ of investment block 6 in Cheongna. The complex will have facilities for research and development(R&D), a domestic and foreign game company innovation district, studios, a knowledge industry center, MICE tourism facilities, and a game entertainment district. It will also have places to teach people how to play games from all over the world.
The Digipen Institute of Technology, dubbed the “Harvard of Gaming World” is a global university with branches in Singapore and Spain, and is regarded as one of the world’s leading universities in e-sports education.
