On Thursday, October 6, 2011, the Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority and Rittal of Germany signed an investment agreement in the Songdo International City Knowledge Information Industry Complex for the construction of a manufacturing facility and research and development center for industrial enclosure systems. Under the agreement, Rittal planned to invest a total of USD 20 million, including USD 10 million in foreign direct investment, to establish an advanced manufacturing facility and research and development center on an 8,700-square-meter site. Rittal is a global supplier of system solutions, including cabinets, panels, and racks that protect electrical and electronic equipment from external environments.
