On December 27, 2004, Prime Minister Lee Hae-chan attended a meeting on the development of the Incheon Free Economic Zone and investment attraction at Gaetbeol Tower in Songdo International City, and then visited the construction site of Songdo International Bridge (Songdo 1 Bridge). During the meeting, participants discussed the progress of free economic zone development centered on Songdo International City, strategies for attracting foreign investment, and plans for building major infrastructure. Prime Minister Lee Hae-chan then inspected the progress of the First Yeollyukgyo Bridge construction and confirmed the importance of expanding the regional transportation network linking Incheon International Airport and Songdo International City.
