On August 6, 2020 (Thursday), IFEZ Commissioner Lee Won-jae met with Suh Jung-sun, chairman of Macrogen, Korea's first KOSDAQ-listed bio venture company and currently the world's fifth-largest genetic analysis company. Macrogen, which was selected as the No. 1 regulatory sandbox operator for the DTC genetic testing service project by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy in February 2020, will push for customized health promotion services through the analysis of DTC genes for 2,000 adults living in Songdo International City for two years as a special demonstration. As soon as the Ministry of Health and Welfare completes its review of the Special Cases of Verification Project, it will push for a Special Cases of Verification of DTC Genetic Inspection in Songdo International City with IFEZ.
