On June 21, 2023 (Wednesday), IFEZ decided to strengthen mutual cooperation with SK Bioscience to start construction of the Global R&PD Research & Process Development (R&PD) Center in Songdo International City. SK Bioscience completed a construction report to IFEZ in April 2023 regarding the construction of a global R&PD center and has now begun construction of an on-site soil barrier. It is planned to be completed in the first half of 2025. In December 2021, SK Bioscience signed a land sales contract to build a vaccine R&D facility in the Sr14 parcel (178-3 Songdo-dong/area 30,413.8㎡) of Songdo International City's 7th district Techno Park expansion complex.
