On Wednesday, August 21, 2024, Costco opened its Cheongna warehouse in Cheongna International City. Costco Wholesale Cheongna was built on a 58,746-square-meter investment site in Cheongna-dong, Seohae-gu (formerly Seo-gu), Incheon Metropolitan City. Construction began in June 2023, and the store opened approximately 14 months later. Notably, Costco Wholesale Cheongna is the first Costco store in Korea to adopt the company's standard U.S. warehouse design, allowing customers to complete their entire shopping experience on a single floor without using elevators or moving walkways. Costco is a global retail company operating 882 warehouses in 14 countries and serving more than 119 million members worldwide. In Korea, Costco operates 19 warehouses, with the Cheongna location becoming Costco Korea Co., Ltd.'s 19th store.
