On Tuesday, November 5, 2024, IFEZ held the 31st meeting of the heads of the National Free Economic Zone Authority. The meeting of the heads of the Free Economic Zone Authority was attended by more than 50 officials, including the Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority, heads of eight free economic zones nationwide, including Busan and Jinhae, Gwangyang Bay, Gyeonggi Province, Daegu and North Gyeongsang Province, Gangwon Province, Gwangju and Ulsan, as well as the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy's Economic Zone Planning Team. The head of the National Free Economic Zone Authority adopted nine joint proposals from the government, including the Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority, ▲ Deregulation of the employment permit system for foreign workers in the free economic zone (Incheon) ▲ Relief of the conditions for rent reduction in the port hinterland complex (Busan and Jinhae) ▲ Expansion of the scope of application of land exclusively for free economic zones (Daegu and North Gyeongsang Province), and submitted them to the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy.
