On Friday, April 4, 2025, IFEZ and the Incheon Chamber of Commerce and Industry held a briefing session on the development of the southern end of Ganghwa Island in Incheon. The briefing session was organized by the Incheon Chamber of Commerce and Industry and was attended by some 100 businessmen in Incheon, officials from the Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority, the deputy governor of Ganghwa County, Incheon Metropolitan City, and the chairman of the Incheon Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The southern part of Ganghwa Island in Incheon Metropolitan City is a new development zone in the Incheon Free Economic Zone. It will be developed as a future economic hub that combines various functions such as complex logistics linking airports and ports, high-tech industrial clusters, and the creation of residential and living infrastructure near Incheon International Airport.
