On Monday, December 29, 2024, IFEZ held the groundbreaking ceremony for the Cheongna Medical Complex Town in Cheongna International City. The event marked the beginning of the development of Korea’s largest medical complex service town led by Asan Medical Center. Asan Medical Center Cheongna Hospital will be constructed on a 97,459㎡ site in the MF1 Block of Cheongna International City, featuring two basement levels, 19 above-ground floors, and approximately 800 beds as a tertiary care hospital, with completion targeted for 2029. In the future, research institutes from the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology, Harvard Medical School’s Massachusetts General Hospital, and a Life Science Park will be developed together, serving as a hub for medical and bio research and development.
