On Monday, October 26, 2020, Incheon Metropolitan City finalized the Agreement on the Construction of Cheongna Sky Bridge (Third Link Bridge), which primarily outlines the allocation of project costs among the participating organizations. Under the agreement, LH (Korea Land and Housing Corporation) and Incheon Urban Development Corporation agreed to bear KRW 619.5 billion, representing 95.3 percent of the project's total cost of KRW 650 billion. Cheongna Sky Bridge (Third Link Bridge) will connect Jungsan-dong in Yeongjong-gu (formerly Jung-gu), the starting point, with Cheongna-dong in Seohae-gu (formerly Seo-gu), the ending point, in Incheon Metropolitan City. The bridge will have a total length of 4.7 km, including a 3.5 km sea bridge and a 1.2 km land section. It will be 29 meters wide and consist of six traffic lanes, as well as pedestrian walkways and bicycle paths. Once completed, Cheongna Sky Bridge is expected to improve residential conditions in Yeongjong International City, promote balanced development across the western part of the Seoul metropolitan area, facilitate the development of Yeongjong Sky City and Cheongna International City, attract greater investment, and enhance the on-time operation of Incheon International Airport.
