On Tuesday, December 22, 2020, IFEZ held the groundbreaking ceremony for Cheongna Sky Bridge (formerly the Third Link Bridge). Prime Minister Chung Sye-kyun, Incheon Mayor Park Nam-chun, and IFEZ Commissioner Lee Won-jae attended the ceremony. In accordance with COVID-19 prevention guidelines, attendance was kept to a minimum, and the event was broadcast live online via YouTube. Cheongna Sky Bridge (Third Link Bridge) will connect Jungsan-dong, Jung-gu to Cheongna-dong, Seo-gu, with a total length of 4.67 km (3.5 km over water, 1.1 km on land), a width of 29–30 m, and six lanes. The bridge is scheduled for completion in 2025. Among the three bridges connecting Yeongjong International City, this bridge will be the only one with pedestrian and bicycle paths and an observation deck, creating a tourist-friendly cultural space where visitors can enjoy the sea and scenic views.
