On Wednesday, June 10, 2026, the Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority conducted a summer safety inspection at the construction site of the Incheon Global Campus student dormitory in joint cooperation with the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency. The inspection was arranged to focus on compliance with heat illness prevention guidelines during extreme heat, facility safety management in preparation for the monsoon season and heavy rain, and the status of smart safety equipment utilization. The project involves a total investment of KRW 44.7 billion (approximately USD 32.7 million) to build a student dormitory with a total floor area of 8,425 square meters, consisting of one basement level and 10 above-ground floors, adding 202 rooms to accommodate approximately 400 additional students.
