On Sunday, October 16, 2011, the Incheon Free Economic Zone held the “2011 Incheon Songdo Marathon,” commemorating the 47th Incheon Citizens’ Day and wishing for the successful hosting of the 2014 Incheon Asian Games, at Songdo Central Park in Songdo International City. The event was organized to help build momentum for the successful hosting of the Asian Games and to celebrate Incheon Citizens’ Day, and it also served as an opportunity to promote the urban image of Songdo International City.
