On Tuesday, February 14, 2012, IFEZ signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Incheon Branch of the Road Traffic Authority for the establishment of the IFEZ traffic signal coordination system. The agreement was intended to establish a coordinated traffic signal system to improve traffic flow and enhance vehicle movement efficiency on major roads within the Incheon Free Economic Zone. The two organizations agreed to cooperate in building the system based on their expertise in traffic signal operation technology and traffic safety.
