On Friday, April 27, 2012, IFEZ signed a funding support agreement with the University of Utah. The agreement was intended to support the establishment of the University of Utah Asia Campus at the Songdo Global University Campus and to promote the development of a global education and research hub. The University of Utah Asia Campus was later planned with a total capacity of 1,000 students in the fields of Social Work, Psychology, Communication, and Public Health. The University of Utah is a major research university located in Salt Lake City, Utah, in the United States.
