On Wednesday, July 25, 2012, IFEZ, jointly with NIB Nam Incheon Broadcasting, held an event to release eco-friendly loaches for mosquito control into the lake at Haedot-i Park in Songdo International City. The event was organized to help reduce mosquito larvae during the summer season and contribute to eco-friendly pest control and the creation of a more pleasant park environment. Officials from the Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority and NIB Nam Incheon Broadcasting released the loaches into the lake to highlight the significance of pest control activities that make use of the natural ecosystem.
