On Sunday, October 7, 2012, Incheon Metropolitan City and Gyeongin Ilbo held the “2012 Incheon Songdo Marathon” in Songdo International City to support the bid to bring the Green Climate Fund (GCF) to Incheon and to promote the successful hosting of the 2014 Incheon Asian Games. The event was organized to build public support for attracting the GCF through citizen participation and to create momentum for the successful hosting of international events.
