On Sunday, January 20, 2013, the Incheon Metropolitan City Government and the Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority (IFEZ) signed an occupancy agreement with Charles River Korea. The agreement was carried out to expand investment attraction in the bio and healthcare sectors and to strengthen the industrial foundation of the Incheon Free Economic Zone. The Incheon Free Economic Zone has promoted the growth of the bio industry centered on Songdo International City, and Charles River Korea is a company associated with life sciences and pharmaceutical-bio research support.
