On Tuesday, March 5, 2013, the Incheon Metropolitan City Government and the Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority (IFEZ) signed a business agreement with BMW for the construction of the BMW Group Driving Center. The BMW Group Driving Center was planned as an automobile complex cultural space on an approximately 240,000㎡ site in Unseo-dong, Yeongjong-gu, with a planned investment of KRW 70 billion (approximately USD 64 million). BMW is a leading German automobile manufacturer, and the facility was set to include a 2.6 km driving track, exhibition and experience spaces, and an eco-friendly sports park.
