On Friday, April 5, 2013, Lotte broke ground on Lotte Mall Songdo in Songdo International City. Lotte Mall Songdo is being promoted as a mixed-use development project on an approximately 84,000㎡ site in Blocks A1 and A2 of the Songdo International Business District, with a shopping mall, mart, hotel, and officetel. The total project cost is about KRW 1 trillion (approximately USD 890 million), and the shopping mall and hotel are planned to be built with a total floor area of 231,907㎡.
