On Tuesday, May 7, 2013, Incheon Metropolitan City and the Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority signed a business agreement with the National Election Commission of Korea to attract the secretariat of the Association of World Election Bodies (A-WEB). The agreement was arranged to support the successful hosting of the International Election Conference and the inaugural General Assembly of the Association of World Election Bodies in October 2013, and to establish a stable foundation for the secretariat’s settlement by providing office space in I-Tower in Songdo International City, administrative support, spaces for cultural and religious activities, and access to an auditorium and meeting rooms. The Association of World Election Bodies is an international organization joined by election management bodies and related international institutions from around the world.
