On Wednesday, May 22, 2013, the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy held a meeting on the service hub promotion plan for Free Economic Zones. The meeting was arranged to share policy directions for fostering Free Economic Zones as hubs for foreign investment and high value-added service industries, and to discuss ways to revitalize service sectors such as healthcare, education, tourism, and logistics. Participants focused on measures to strengthen the competitiveness of Free Economic Zones, including regulatory improvement, expansion of settlement conditions, and reinforcement of the investment promotion base.
