On Friday, May 31, 2013, Incheon Metropolitan City held an opening ceremony for the United Nations offices at G-Tower in Songdo International City. The opening was 추진됐다 to foster Songdo International City as a cluster for international organizations and to strengthen its role in global cooperation. At the time, G-Tower housed United Nations and international organizations including the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific Subregional Office for East and North-East Asia, the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law Regional Centre for Asia and the Pacific, and the United Nations Asian and Pacific Training Centre for Information and Communication Technology for Development, helping reinforce the city’s international infrastructure.
