On Tuesday, June 4, 2013, BMW Group Korea held a groundbreaking ceremony for the BMW Group Driving Center in Yeongjong International City. The driving center was planned as an automobile experience facility to be built on a 240,000㎡ site with a total investment of KRW 70 billion (approximately USD 62 million), and was to include a 2.6-kilometer variable track built to Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile standards, a driving school, a customer center, exhibition spaces, a Junior Campus, and an eco-friendly sports park. BMW is a German premium automobile manufacturer.
