On Thursday, August 22, 2013, IFEZ signed an energy saving agreement for Songdo International City with the Korea Energy Management Corporation, the Incheon Green Consumers Network, POSCO Engineering & Construction, and local residents’ groups. The agreement was signed to promote energy-saving practices and spread a low-carbon lifestyle culture in Songdo International City. The participating organizations and groups plan to jointly carry out energy-saving initiatives, including reducing energy use in homes and commercial facilities, promoting citizen participation in electricity-saving campaigns, and operating public relations and education programs. POSCO Engineering & Construction is a company engaged in construction, plant, and infrastructure businesses.
