On September 27, 2013 (Friday), the Korea Academic Society of Convention and Exhibition held a MICE policy forum at Songdo Convensia in Songdo International City under the theme, “The Role of the MICE Industry in the Era of Creative Economy.” The forum was organized to discuss policy directions for the MICE industry, which encompasses meetings, incentive travel, conventions, and exhibitions, as well as ways to strengthen regional competitiveness. Participants shared the ripple effects of the MICE industry as a high value-added service industry and the potential use of Songdo International City’s international meeting infrastructure.
