On October 15, 2013 (Tuesday), the Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority held a ceremony marking the 10th anniversary of its opening. The event was organized to look back on the development achievements made since its opening on October 15, 2003, and to share its future vision. Over the past 10 years, the Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority had promoted the development of global business, advanced industries, and education, medical, and tourism infrastructure centered on Songdo International City, Yeongjong International City, and Cheongna International City, and it announced plans to continue advancing as a world-class free economic zone.
