On December 4, 2013 (Wednesday), the World Bank Group opened its Korea Office in Songdo International City. The Korea Office was established as a hub for knowledge sharing, development finance, and investment guarantee cooperation, and it took on the role of sharing Korea’s development experience in economic development policy, information and communications technology, infrastructure, and finance with developing countries. The World Bank Group is an international development finance institution composed of the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development, the International Development Association, the International Finance Corporation, the Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency, and the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes.
