On December 12, 2013 (Thursday), the Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority signed a technical cooperation memorandum of understanding with the Bases Conversion and Development Authority of the Philippines. The agreement was made to expand policy and technical exchanges in the areas of free economic zone development experience, urban development, investment attraction, and infrastructure development. Based on the development case of Songdo International City, the two institutions established a foundation for cooperation needed for new city development and special economic zone planning in the Philippines, and announced plans to continue working-level exchanges and information sharing in the future.
