On December 4, 2013 (Wednesday), the Green Climate Fund launched its Secretariat at G-Tower. The launch marked the full-scale start of operations for the world’s largest climate-focused fund dedicated to supporting greenhouse gas reduction and climate change adaptation in developing countries. The Secretariat began its work on four floors of G-Tower, with plans presented to expand operations to a total of 15 floors in the future. The Green Climate Fund is an international organization that serves as an operating entity of the financial mechanism of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change and oversees climate finance support.
