On Monday, March 10, 2014, George Mason University Korea opened at Incheon Global Campus. As an extended campus of George Mason University in the United States, the university first launched undergraduate programs in business and economics and admitted 34 new students. Students study at the Songdo International City campus and the main campus in Fairfax, Virginia, and receive the same degree as graduates of the home campus. The opening marked a major step forward in fostering Songdo International City as a global education hub.
