On Tuesday, May 27, 2014, IFEZ signed a memorandum of understanding with VM and Bookook Securities for the construction of a dormitory for tenant company workers. Under the agreement, VM planned to establish a special purpose company with Orange Village Hotel & Hostel of San Francisco, United States, while Bookook Securities took charge of financing. By 2016, approximately KRW 75 billion (approximately USD 73 million) was to be invested to build about 1,200 dormitory rooms and convenience facilities on an 8,000㎡ site in Songdo-dong 207-1, Zone 5 and 7 of Songdo International City.
