On Tuesday, June 24, 2014, IFEZ opened Sol-chan Park, also known as Neighborhood Park No. 24, in Songdo International City. Solchan Park was redeveloped into a waterfront park from a former construction site that had been used for steel structure fabrication and material loading during the construction of Incheon Bridge. The park was equipped with a coastal walking trail, lawn plaza, and rest areas adjacent to the sea. Through this opening, the Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority created a marine-friendly leisure space where citizens could enjoy views of the West Sea and Incheon Bridge up close, and the park was expected to become one of the representative coastal relaxation spots in Songdo International City.
