On Monday, July 14, 2014, BMW opened the BMW Driving Center in Yeongjong International City. Built with a total investment of KRW 77 billion (approximately USD 75 million), the BMW Driving Center was developed on a 241,780㎡ site and became the first BMW Driving Center in Asia and the third BMW automotive complex cultural space in the world after Germany and the United States. The facility includes driving tracks, an off-road course, exhibition and experience spaces, the Junior Campus, and a training academy. BMW planned to enhance the tourism and leisure functions of Yeongjong International City by operating the center as an experiential automobile culture space open to both customers and the general public.
