On Thursday, July 24, 2014, IFEZ held a topping-out ceremony for Gyeongwonru at Incheon Hanok Village in Songdo International City. Gyeongwonru is a symbolic pavilion of Incheon Hanok Village and was being built in the style of traditional Korean wooden architecture. The ceremony was organized to mark the completion of the main structural framework and to wish for the safe and successful completion of the construction. Incheon Hanok Village was developed as a traditional culture complex featuring a hanok hotel, restaurants, and cultural experience facilities, and Gyeongwonru was expected to serve as a representative traditional landmark in Songdo International City.
