On Monday, November 10, 2014, Incheon Metropolitan City and the Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority (IFEZ) signed a project agreement with Korea Land and Housing Corporation for the Landmark City Tower in Cheongna International City. Under the agreement, Korea Land and Housing Corporation agreed to transfer the status of project implementer to the Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority, along with the authority to launch the developer selection process and the budget for construction of the City Tower. The project called for the development of a 453-meter observatory tower and a mixed-use complex for culture, shopping, tourism, and leisure on a 33,058㎡ site at the center of Cheongna International City Central Lake Park, providing momentum for the long-awaited landmark project in Cheongna International City.
