On Saturday, July 9, 2016, IFEZ held the “Symposium on Development Strategies for Integrated Casino Resorts” to discuss development strategies for integrated casino resorts to be developed in Yeongjong International City. The symposium was organized to share the development direction for integrated resorts and measures to strengthen competitiveness in the tourism and leisure industries. At the time, discussions were under way in Yeongjong International City on the development of integrated tourism infrastructure, including hotels, foreigner-only casinos, performance venues, shopping facilities, and convention centers, with the aim of attracting foreign tourists and revitalizing the local economy. Synergy was expected through the clustering of integrated resorts.
