On Thursday, December 26, 2013, IFEZ, Incheon National University, Inha University, and the Urban Design Institute of Korea held the “Waterfront Urban Design Forum.” The forum was organized to discuss development directions for waterfront areas aimed at expanding public value and strengthening urban competitiveness. Participants shared a range of ideas on creating citizen-friendly leisure and cultural spaces along the waterfront in the Incheon Free Economic Zone, including Songdo International City, with discussions focusing on connectivity between the city and the waterfront, accessibility, landscape planning, and sustainable use.
