On Thursday, July 17, 2014, IFEZ held a public hearing on the Songdo International City Waterfront Development Project. The hearing was organized to share the project direction with citizens and gather opinions on improving water quality, securing flood-prevention functions for urban safety, and creating waterfront-friendly public spaces. The Songdo International City Waterfront Development Project is planned on a scale of 21.17 kilometers of waterways and a water surface area of 4.66 square kilometers, with bridges, water gates, connecting canals, waterfront decks, and marina facilities to be developed in phases.
