On Monday, August 17, 2015, IFEZ announced the inauguration of Lee Yeong-geun, the 4th Commissioner of the Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority. Commissioner Lee Yeong-geun previously served as Director General for Urban Policy at the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport and as Vice President of Incheon International Airport Corporation. Based on his experience in investment promotion, urban development, and improvement of residential conditions, he is expected to strengthen the competitiveness of Songdo International City, Yeongjong International City, and Cheongna International City. He is the first Incheon-born Commissioner of the Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority.
