On Wednesday, October 14, 2015, Incheon Metropolitan City and the Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority (IFEZ), together with related construction organizations, signed a memorandum of understanding to revitalize Incheon’s local construction industry. The agreement was prepared to strengthen a foundation for shared growth by expanding participation by local specialty contractors and promoting the use of locally produced materials, local workforce, and local equipment. The participating organizations agreed to cooperate in discovering and recommending outstanding local firms, establishing a joint cooperation system, and providing administrative support for the smooth implementation of projects, while working together to enhance the competitiveness of the local construction industry.
